Using Hooti
Hooti helps families make plans, record discoveries and create memory books. A child’s use, purchases and sharing preferences should be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Protect your PIN and Apple/Google sign-in credentials. Do not access other accounts without permission or misuse the service to bypass usage limits.
Your content belongs to you
You retain rights to the photos, drawings, notes and memories you add. You give Hooti only the permission needed to provide the features you choose, store your content and create backups you request. Obtain permission when using other people’s content.
Rights to app artwork, Hooti characters, the interface and software belong to their respective rights holders.
Answers and voice features
Hooti answers may be incomplete or incorrect. Check important information with an adult. Answers do not replace medical, legal or emergency assistance.
Speech recognition and read-aloud quality depend on your device, selected voice package and connection. You can review text before saving it.
Free usage and Hooti+
One family account includes 1 program, 1 memory book and 5 Hooti questions for free. These introductory allowances do not renew every month. Unlimited programs and memory books, 100 questions each month and 250 MB of private media backup. Unused questions do not roll over.
On iOS, Hooti+ is an annual subscription. The purchase screen shows the exact price, taxes and terms for your country and store. Purchases start in the PIN-protected parent area and are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The iOS subscription renews annually until cancelled; other stores use the period shown for the plan. Any trial terms appear on the purchase screen.
Backup and access
A parent starts cloud backups; devices do not sync live. Restoring a backup from another device can replace the current local journal. Keep copies of important memories.
Maintenance, connectivity or store verification problems may temporarily affect features. Continuous or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
Changes and consumer rights
Features and these terms may change over time. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels and reflected in the update date on this page.
These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights. Apple or Google purchase and refund terms also apply to transactions in their stores. Contact us through the support page with questions.
